The command console in STALKER can be opened and closed at any time by pressing the '' key (the key below ESC). This console is an area which allows you to enter a range of commands, for the purposes of adjusting the game engine's parameters. Most console commands are also used in the User.ltx file as covered on the previous page. So the best method to implement an advanced feature is to first test a command in the console, fine tune the value you may wish to use for that command, then if you wish to use it permanently, edit your User.ltx file accordingly if the change hasn't already been stored there.

Importantly: Entering new values for variables in the console may automatically write the change to your User.ltx file, meaning it will be implemented the next time you start STALKER. So make sure to backup your User.ltx first before messing around in the console, and ideally first check the current value for a variable and note it down before testing new values in case you want to quickly get back to the original value.
You can use the Page Up and Page Down keys to scroll through text in the console.
Detailed descriptions for most of the useful console commands are already provided on the previous page, as the User.ltx settings and the console commands of the same name operate exactly the same way.
Changing a variable in the console can become permanent since it is written to your User.ltx file. Make sure to set a variable back to its default or desired setting, or restore your backed up User.ltx file afterwards if you just want to experiment and not keep your changes.
Several commands were added as of the 1.0006 Patch - they are marked as New, Altered or Removed
For the most part all the useful and most important console commands are described above and in much more detail on the previous page. However if a description for an important command is missing, please Email Me with the details. In general I've left some of the more obvious and/or less useful console commands without a description, and of course there are a few commands for which I don't know the precise functionality.
Currently in-progress, this will soon be a complete list of console commands with descriptions. In it's current state, it's far more exhaustive than the previous list. If you would like to add/update any commands, please be sure to follow the current structure- an example is given below in the Notes section.
Although mods for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games made to suit various purposes exist, there are however much easier console commands for the Xray Engine as well. These may actually be more helpful than creating an exoskeleton that can run with 400kg. Biggest "cheat" mentioned here is the console command- jump_to_level, which is the main subject of this page.
-Split the menu into three parts. Press F1 to open the entity spawning menu, F2 for items, and F3 for ammo.-Quantity consoles, just enter the value of items or ammo you want to spawn, no more fixed values for ammo.-2 new seperate spawnable monsters, (rat and ghost).-A total of 12 new skins, (3 zombie, 1 chimera, 1 burer, 1 boar, 1 dog, 1 pseudo-giant, 3 rat, 1 ghost). Keep in mind that I only use skins found in SHoC, which means NO custom content.-Tweaked speeds of some cut-out monsters to remove 'skating' effect.-Fixed monster game relations and changed SHoC's NPC detection for Clear Sky's. You can remove "game_relations.ltx" and "m_stalker.ltx" if you don't want want them.-Minor cut-out monster rebalancing.
How does it work? Atlas Mod is enabled through the main menu. If items are spawned, they will go directly inside Strelok's inventory. If a monster/stalker is spawned, it will spawn according to the co-ordinates you enter into the location console included in the menu. If you don't enter anything, it will spawn right near you.
6) If you want to spawn items, simply click the button of the items you want to spawn. For an NPC, enter co-ordinates into the location console in the middle of the menu. The four directions you can spawn a monster/stalker is north, south, east, and west. If you're confused, refer to the PDA map (Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is always North) for directions. You only have to enter the first letter of the direction, so "N" for north, "S" for south, "E" for east, and "W" for west. Hint: Use the phrase "Never Eat Soggy Waffles" to remember the compass, because it goes clockwise. Then enter a number to indicate the number of units you would like to offset by from Strelok. Remember, the direction and number have to be seperated by a comma. Examples: (N,10), (e,50), (S,2), etc.
